I looked over the top end rebuild procedure posted and cleaning up the transfers and bridges doesn't look to be to hard with a steady hand. I have never had a crank balanced before due to the steel liner on the cr's, won't going from A-B-C-D pistons mess up the balance? Lastly the clutch cover isn't stock correct? any ideas what it is off of or where it is from?

you'd be sending the piston along with the crank to be balanced...
no the clutch cover didn't come stock that way....it's not unusual to come across one that someone did...here's a good thread on 2 piece covers...

I guess I need to do more research on the topic, I assumed if you balanced the crank with one piston and replaced it with another on the next top end it would out of balance again. I've got a lot to learn
