my yamaha blaster kx250 hybrid

:-D

Best yamaha out there that I know of lol. Post up some more info like what needed to be made and/or modified to stuff that engine in there. How's it handle all that awesomeness? What year engine and quad?
bansheedave:
I had to modify the frame. I wanted to make it so I didn't have to chop up the pipe to make it work. Also so I could run a full radiator in the frame. It all fits but is tight. The motor is a 94 kx that I rebuild from top to bottom last year. Than early this year on a ride I hit a tree. Screwed up the bike. Anyway, the blaster is a 96 that was modified prior by me to run a cr125. It ran good but I needed more. Since I didn't have the money or time to rebuild the bike, I sold the roller and built the blaster to hold the kx. I made a 2 piece front mount to make more room to install and remove it. Had my brother in law take it for a shake down before I tore it apart to finish. Said it rides great, lots of power but needs some tweaks to get on the pipe faster. Here is a pic of the modified frame in its current condition. I made all my gussets and have them taped in place. Welding the in this weekend.

I'm also thinking ab out trying some hare scrambles with it next year.
Goat:
Modifying a pipe is a pain in the a$$. I ended up spending a couple months learning the ins and outs of expansion chambers so I could modify one to fit in my K5 LT250 combo also known as "Goatzilla" If I had to do it again I would build a pipe from scratch or make the frame fit the pipe like you are.
Where are you located? I'd run scrambles with ya either on the KDX4 or Goatzilla.
