Christmas Valley ride 6-2014

<< < (4/4)

Oregon Trail:
The last time I rode Christmas Valley, you didn't need a flag....

sandblaster:
That was most likely before they fixed the road getting there.
It use to be you almost needed four wheel drive to get out there.
Now it's a nice gravel road.
The good thing is it is still a ways out there and it is rarely crowded.

alward25:
When we first moved to Lake county in '93, the road really bad.  We got our motorhome with a trailer full of atv's stuck in a mud hole.  My Dad was able to get  some county folks to change up the budget a little and he did some persuading to maintain and improve the road.  So, you can see what ended up happening. He did not want to get stuck again.  My Dad is pretty cool, sorry, had to brag.

Oregon Trail:
I think 1998 was the last year I was out there. A few old timers (65+ guys) in our club usually head out there in February and Memorial Day weekend. Much easier for me to hit the Oregon Dunes about 3 hours to the coast.
