Good luck with a career choice.

One thing I would point out is that statistics show that those with a college degree make far more on average over those without.  Whatever you choose try to keep your debt level low so you can easily change careeers or training if you find something is not for you.

I wish you the best on your decisions.

Glad to hear it. I wasn't always the fine, upstanding citizen that I am now either.   But that was a loooooong time ago. Anyway, best of luck to you.

Kayne,

The advise I see above is worth reading again, especially the part about keeping your debt realistic.  I just left a job that paid just over $110,000 a year, and am moving a completely different direction.  I have found that it didn't matter if I made $30,000 or $100,000, I seemed to always have nothing left at the end of the year.  By keeping your debt in check, you can enjoy a relatively happy life without making a lot of money.  I am currently looking at making 1/2 my previous salary teaching college, but the lifestyle will be better with summers off.

I'm also glad to hear that you are dumping the artificial highs and joining those of us who get our high from riding the big 500.  Remember, your future is simply a manifestation of the choices you make today, so by managing your choices today, you shape the future of tomorrow.  Manage your future well.

Rick
