yes that helps heaps The reason i asked about the fitment is U say ur using 89 USD forks that are 41mm.  How will i fit them if i pulled out 43 mm shocks.  i have a set of 41mm shocks here from another bike that will not fit.  So to keep Kawasaki i need to go 91 to 95 shocks if i want to keep my head stem.  Sorry i prolly wasnt clear with all my frustration  :-P    So u used the 89 head stem on ur bike then? maybe I should read it all again got notes written down everywhere im confusing myself lol

i have a simple answer to your last question... how will you fit any UpSideDown fork in smaller diametered conventional clamps??
that could never work. the 41mm usd-fork for example is 50 and 55,5 mm in the clamp areas...
upside down means that the tubes have changed positions...

you need the right triple trees to the usd-forklegs that you want to use . thats the reason, why i also adviced in my former post the fitment of the stem-bearings in the several kx- models over the years...
thats the very important fact to know for the fork-swap ...
