540Kawi:
Hey Yall. Been browsing the site for a little while now, still new, but i like whats on here. I own a '94 KX500 with an LA Sleeve 540 kit port and polish. PC pipe and FMF silencer (fmf was dented so tested the PC). The carb has been bored and polished with Boysen rad vavle and carbon fiber reeds. Al Carr @ Reactive Suspension in Pennsylvania set up the front and rear. I bought the bike the way i described (built by my father who had it sitting in his shed for 8 years) just under a year ago and have been slowly changing the look. Ive gotten pretty much all of my info from stumbling across this site, so I decided to join. Since the day I bought it I have put on new graphics and seat cover from FLU. My wife ordered me an '05 black 250f rear fender and front number plate yesterday and will be ordering '05 front fender shortly. Im pretty stoked about it. Throw me some suggestions as well. Ive ridden the bike numerous times but am new to what these bikes desire and require. Thanks and God bless ya'll. PS How the heck do yo post pics? lol

Hey Kyle. 540 ! That would have to be fun. What do you use the bike for? Hill climbs, trail rides.. ? Nothin like horsepower   The rear guard conversion is a good thing. Brings the old design into the modern age and look great. Whats FLU ?

howdy and welcome.

Just wait till you have enough posts to get into the motor modification section.

Ah the rear fender.   That is my next project for the 88.    And of course I found full instructions on this site.
It's race day!    Going to the track tomorrow.
Very cool.   Can't wait to see some pics of the 540.    I too will set up the photo bucket and post some pics.
Welcome 540.
Race!
