... in this case you should also think about the heavier weighted 1992-2004 crank.  :-)  only real diference is that the 89-2004 primary gear sits on splines instead the woodruf key version in the 85-88 engines ...

not sure.i have no chance for directly comparing the cranks,
 but older crank has additional holes...

and the newer crank is full, without holes, maybe 50 - 100 gramms heavier ...

Guess I never payed attention. I think I'll do the ignition upgrade and see how that works. Maybe a new crank will get thrown in during the next overhaul. Thanks for your help MP
