whey am the same ive bought an old 94 kx its cost me a flaming fortune old piece of crap cant wait to get rid of it,am happy with 4strokes hardly ever break down stronger job all ya do is change oil n filters every few rides and wash it put it away .. :roll:

Cheers buddy. Thinking of replacing seat cover but that is the original and its been there for 22 years it sort of breaks my heart to remove it. Got some almost new replacement excel rims and going to 18" on the rear

I wouldn't remove the seat cover if it's the original one. Just buy another complete used seat off e-bay, then you can throw on any seat cover you want. 
I have an original 2000 complete seat that is in brand new condition wrapped up and stored that I bought off e-bay a couple years ago. The bike came with an aftermarket black gripper seat cover that I didn't like, so I put a cover on that one.
