the 6 speed is gold.....finding one is like finding a jeff ward bike.  If I could inexpensively swap in a 6 speed into my truck I would.  I don't think the exhaust brake is a deal breaker.  Check to see if it is an aftermarket exhaust brake because one of the popular mods on those trucks is this.......on the exhaust side of the turbo there is a flapper called an EBPV (exhaust back pressure valve).  Its job is to partially close on start up to aid in engine warm up.......It is controlled by an electronic actuator.  Some people wire it up to close using a switch acting like an exhaust valve....funny thing is the fancy one by BANKS works the same d**n way.

Motorrad:
a 7.3 with a manual would be good for me.

I REFUSE to own one with an auto.    I Personaly have had to change too many ..

same reason I wont own a duramaxx.    Personaly have seen WAY too many injection / Head  issues.

Youd think building dozens of D-max's a year I could agree but I digress. Yes we have an aluminum hardness tester.  We also innovated LB7 "screw in" injector cups. Its all filtration LLY 2004

Have fun with with the cracked heads & lovely injectors . I also do all the magging. 1 set I've seen "not" cracked 7.3 anyway. Did I sat we dont build ford. Dmax & Cummins only

I know I sound like an asshole but your 5.3 was a better plan. Really though your fun
