KDX200 Seized swingarm pivot and suspension linkage

Goat:
Nice looking bike. Glad to see someone else that isn't afraid to do some damage to fix it the right way :P

How tall is your girlfriend? Lowering it a bit may help the awkwardness for her. I believe the early to mid 90's KLX250 dog bones lowered it about 1.5-2 inches. Less suspension travel that way but in the trails (keeping it on the ground) it was fine. Longer dog bones = shorter seat height. Done that mod to a few bikes for the vertically challenged lol

Too bad you don't live a bit closer, we have gotten pretty good at getting them apart intact but not always.

I have a 88 kx125 stuck just like the OPs.  Are you putting the frame up in a press and driving the shaft out?

sandblaster:
I don't use a press as I have ruined frames doing that.
Soaking in penetrating oil for days is good but Heat is your best friend..

Do you dip the entire frame in some diesel (very light oil) or just spray every day and let that soak in?    I was going to make an SDS-MAX bit and try to get it started with my hammer drill.  Figure once I get it sliding it should work on out.   f**ker is seized up very tight at the moment.

I don't really need the bolt out.. was going to break it down to see if I could salvage the cases.  Frame is cracked in a few spots.

sandblaster:
I squirt the penetrating oil in every few hours during the day.
Sometimes I'll soak them for a week before I try.
It is shocking how little corrosion it takes to keep them from moving.
Again.... When they are really stuck, Heat is your best friend..
