I'd like to ride it just to see if it really works for my style of riding.
But I don't want to build one to find out  :-(

builds like this need much time and money ...  :|  but all you need is a hub the smaller front rim, swingarm and this rear wheel. for testride is no complete bike needed...

my second thought for the k5 is changing the rear 19 x 2,15 rim into a 19 x 2,5 rim  ... so comes more rubber to the ground with the same used tire-size...  8-)

sandblaster:
That's why I was thinking about SM wheels  :-)
I have some hubs.... I would need spokes and some rims.
Maybe I should look into it...

motopunk:
i see a big finish in a few days...  cant wait to see it...  :-D  at the end you are also with the sm-k5 in the dunes...

sandblaster:
I think I will try the front wheel first and see how it does.
My concern is that I will loose some contact area..
Sure, I will pick up some tire width but I will be loose some contact in the length depending on tire pressure...
Of course, going from a 21 to a 17 on the front is going to change the handling so I probably won't really know the real over all change unless I do the back as well... It's only money... :x

motopunk:
yep... air pressure is always a key for effective tire work in sand and also mud...  :-)

i had always less and never too much money for all my projects, thats why the feeling to see the ready bikes in my garage is so unbelievable... :-D ... blood sweat and tears( from looking in the empty moneybag)
