I would try to get Kawasaki to back that up...that's a catastrophic explosion for only 15hrs.I don't know what kind of relationship you have with your dealer...but as long as you don't go in there threatening to slash throats and blow heads off...I bet they'd be willing to help you out,maybe not 100% of the cost...but if they're a good dealer,they should work with you.Not only will that keep you happy and a customer,but it's good business for them to step up.

I used to work for the local dealership so I have a good relationship with them. I spoke with them earlier today and they said to bring the motor in so they can tear it down and see what happened then they will contact kawi about it.

In regards to the idiot who posted "Rev limiter is not a shift light..." you probably don't know a d**n thing about dirtbikes and probably sit at home doing nothing all day except playing around on your computer. many guys here with me riding the KX250F. 08, 10, 12 and a 2013. all bikes run very well without any problems.one of the older bikes has over 200 hours of running.
I think in your motor is a couple of unseen material error, because after 15 hours from new and with normal use of the bike, should nothing happen like that.
