Running a 17''x 4.25'' rim.

Im running

Continental Contiforce SM   (Has to have the SM marking.. as they are the supermoto specific ones)

120/70/17 front   On 3.5" rim

150/60/17 rear    on 4.25" rim

Love em to death... great turn in.. and traction... wouldnt change ...

Some guys try to run bigger on the rear... but 98% chance you will have chain rub problems.

I'll beat the dead horse and repeat what everyone else is saying, make sure you get tires that are specific to supermoto.....

Reason is that I know alot of guys that will run slicks ment for road race bikes and they have problems getting their tires up to proper operating temperature.  This is because of 2 main reasons..... #1, your typical supermoto bike will weigh anywere from 150-200 lbs less than a typical road bike, and #2 your typical supermoto bike is putting out about 1/3 to 1/2 the power that your typical road bike puts out so the tires will have different compounds and construction characteristics.
