Thanks for the nice comments. Since this picture a gent hunted me down on one of the facebook KX sites that had a 92 KX with a 93 seat, what's the chances. We traded so now both our bikes are as they should be. I may hunt down another complete seat so I can cut the foam down allowing my 28" inseam to touch the d**n ground. i don't want to mess up the original 93 now that I have one.

Thanks for the welcome!

Ahhh yes, I believe I know which facebook group you're referring to...he constantly has updated pics of sweet new seat covers. I have yet to collaborate with him, but he does appear to have quite the selections.

No sir... Different gentlemen then the guy selling the covers. This guy was out of Texas had a complete seat 93 seat, so we just traded. Though shipping a seat to Texas or anything for that matte is just silly cost wise, but that's another story. And I do know the guy your talking about with all the covers, some have sparked my interest also.

I did get the bike with the original title and have attempted to contact the original owner with no success. It has a pro AMA inspection sticker on the frame you can see it in the picture, I was hoping to get some info on where and what it ran. As a note, I've done nothing to the bike except put numbers on it.. I'm the third owner. The gent I got it from didn't ride it much at all and the bike is as he brought it from the original owner.. Very low hours..

I gotcha...he was a private guy you dealt with.
I can imagine what how much the shipping costs were.
I'm frequently in Corpus Christi, Texas for work related reasons, and have been lookin at property in the area for a 2nd house.

Moving to Texas would be nice.. Im thinking on making Diamond Don's this year, we'll see. I lived in SC for a few years and loved it. Took a job here in Ohio so back dealing with the cold crap. Though, in this area there's no shortages of places to ride. I'm a member of a club called Sandusky Valley Riders, has a MX track, kids MX track, grass track and trails. About 20 mins from the house, you pay your yearly dues and can ride when every you like at no cost.

What Kawasaki are you riding?

It wouldn't be a permanent move, just a small 2nd home along the outskirts of Corpus. My main residence is Plymouth, MA. Sounds like you got some good riding areas. I'm still fortunate to be able to ride right out my back door, and have miles of trails and several sand pits and homemade tracks to ride on.

I've got a '95 K5 that I've had since June of 2011...and a '00 250 that I restored in early 2013.

Nice.. Both are great bikes and look great. Good job! And awesome you can ride right out of the house, I could do that about 40 years ago! I love trail riding and don't do enough of it. Thinking about entering a couple Family Enduro's just for the giggles.

Not many trails in my area here in Ohio. Of course if you drive a few hours north into my old home town state of Michigan it's just filled with trails. Out there in the New England area you are also blessed with no shortage of trail riding, though I have yet to make it out that way.

Was also considering picking up clean KDX200 for poking around in the woods.

Yeah there's tons of trails out here...
There's a town about 45mins southwest of me called Freetown, and they've been holding major enduro races out there since I can remember.  Lots of tight woods and water/mud hole crossings.
I'd love to pick up a KDX200 at some point to.

Thanks for the welcome and the kind comments.. I see in your tag sig you also have a KX500! I d**n near bought one when I cam across this 125. This one needed no work, the 500 would have needed to be restored. Seems like every winter I am restoring a bike, it'll be nice this year not having to do that.

Hiya New Member from Fostoria!
Well, I can find the place on a map but sometimes I feel a little bit like a foreigner on an English speaking site!
I'm a new bloke as well - an Englishman living in Mexico and got an 87 KX500 about 3 months ago.
Looking forward to finding something in common mate!
All the best and have a happy 2019.
Cheers, Jonnie

Thank you sir for the welcome.. An Englishman living in Mexico, I don't believe Mexico is know for their tea? I have some of the same struggles as I'm an Italian living in Ohio, certainly not known for home cooked Italian food.  I see your another luck fellow with a KX500.. Due to the size of my bottom end (butt) I should be on the 500 myself. There's a gent in my MX Club that has one, but he spends more time kicking it then he does riding it.

Your right! It's impossible to get good tea here, hahaha. A mate came out to visit me from England a couple of weeks back and asked if he could bring me anything. I said yeah, the best aluminium cleaner in the world, a tube of Autosol (this one made in Germany, and although it's an American product I can't buy it here), and a big box of teabags. 80 Yorkshire Tea teabags!

My family were Italian on my Dad's side, De Marcos and Pasettis, came from a village near Napoli apparently. They joke that they were either escaping the Camorra, or were the Camorra escaping the law, LOL. Actually my Dad got his best Italian recipes from his best mate Vic Vanoli, and I'm looking forward to his spaghetti alla Bolognese when I eventually get back to England.
All the best Frankie, Jonnie
