Title: 2004 kx250 CDI and stator problems

i have a 2004 kx 250, that had a short circuit and fried the CDI and Stator, the stator needs to be rewired and the CDI replaced. i have a CDI and stator for a 1998 KX250... will it work on the 2004??

The book shows that the STATOR FITS 03-04 KX250 ? Part number: 21003-1400
Also according to the book the CDI FITS 04 KX250 - Part number: 21119-0007
