Title: looking into sf conversion

Hi Im looking into doing a steel frame conversion just to make my 500 look and handle like a modern bike. Which frame is the easiest to do the conversion with, I'm not too fussed if its not a kawasaki. Looking on here alot have used 99-02 kx250 frames.
My donor bike is a 1998 kx500 oh and im from the UK and this is my first time doing a major refurb of a bike but i love learning more about them.
Any info would be appreciated.
