Post by: oldman693 on October 10, 2011, 11:31:51 AM
I was camping over the weekend . Went to a very cool off road park in chiply ,FL . Well after driving  120 miles , unloaded . Set up camp and went riding for a few . Took a break then went to go have some fun with a guy on a klxf 450 4wheeler . As i went to crank my bike . kicked the bike over and SNAP went the kickstarter lever . Well the owner of the park tried helping me locate a welder but the weld didnt hold . so needless to say i am looking for another lever . thumper talk said a steel 250 lever would work , but what years ? also anyone have a good used one i could buy that wont cost me a $100 . Still going to buy a new one but want a good used for now . Also the owner of the park let my g/f ride his bombadier 4 wheeler and let me ride his 09 KLX450f endurocross bike . even with my set back i still had a blast .

I feel your pain guy....my kicker broke on my 95 last Sunday out in the woods.I got a brand new one from Mid West Action Cycle on-line...the part# is 13064-1201.The whole kicker assembly was $87.68,and $11.95 for shipping, ended up being $99.63 total.Would've been $112+ through my local Kawie dealer, for the same O.E.M. kicker. They're much beefier now a days too!!
