Guys, I just installed my FMF Desert and Power Core silencer. It replaced my Woods pipe and FMF silencer.
I also purchased a new "sleeve" from Kawi.
Can someone take a picture of their set up just to confirm I am trying to install it the correct way?
My old set up held the silencer very firmly and covered the junction of the pipe and silencer but the new parts just do not fit the same.
I figure a picture is worth a thousand words!!
Thanks..

PS. The desert pipe requires slightly more attention to the powerband but hey....A little clutching and hang on tight!!

No replies huh?
Well, i found the source of my troubles......
My brand new FMF Desert pipe is the best part of an inch too short in the stinger area.
With the silencer in the most forward position of the slotted hole, the silencer pipe is only engauging the rear of the pipe by 1/4".
I've tied moving and twisting the pipe, trying to bring it more rearward with no luck.
I can't send the pipe back because I had it shipped from the US.
Any ideas??

so your saying there is a space between the fat pipe end and the silencer?
my rm250's connector pipe fell off and lost it so we took a tube and bent it a bit and connected the 2 pipes and tek screwed the tube into the pipes and it worked just fine

I have also seen where people use a silicone hose between the two pipes. Then secure it with hose clamps.
My old IT425 was built this way.
