Title: 06 KX 250 piston's
Post by: adam9185 on September 07, 2011, 02:49:05 AM
Hi there just a quick question, i run Genuine Kawasaki pistons in my bike at the min but i was on the wiseco website the other day and noticed they did a single ring piston for my bike.
What are the differences between a 1 and 2 ring piston apart from the obvious?
Cheers
Adam

The single ring piston is considered to be the Wiesco "race" piston. ther is less drag between the cylinder and ring, upside is maybe a moderate performance gain when new, keep in mind as they wear performance drops. I run the single ring piston in my 06 kx 250, but I also have a deal with Wiesco so I change pistons pretty frequently. If your not racing I would go with the 2 ring piston, you won't know the difference.
