Title: "old Snappy" kicklever question
Post by: Tucson_Steve on July 05, 2004, 11:36:52 AM
Well, it's time to make another donation to the kickstarter maker's retirement fund. Finally snapped this one off last weekend at the Blue Hills Area outside Saint Johns. Lots of steep places to get started again so all was not lost. I have an old 1992 KX500 and want to replace this time with the beefier newer model lever. According to the parts diagrams any lever assembly after 1998 will be the larger, stronger, unit...Is this correct?..thought I would check with you guys before writing the check...thanks........Steve

Hey Steve, it was my understanding that ALL the kick levers manufactured after 2001(?) were the newer thicker design.

That is correct, after busting a lever, I ordered a new one for a '90 kx500 which is the seriously fat one. So, I believe '89 through '04 are the same part # anyway.
