Title: Time for rebuild
Post by: mjscore on July 01, 2004, 08:47:29 AM
Well I finally did it, I crashed my bike and broke 6 ribs, punctured my lung, broke my right thumb and twisted my knee. I guess now that I have 8 weeks till the doctor says I should be able ride again it's time for a makeover on my 94KX500. I'm sending the wheels in for black anodizing and having the hubs polished from TCR Wheel Lacing, new plastic and a top end job. I can't wait to gt back on it again.

maybe you should look into an "air bag" option...

Good luck on a speedy recovery.

Cool, nothing like a fresh 500 and 8 weeks off to set you up for a nasty hurtin'. Get well soon and take it easy when you get back on that beast

I was doing powerslides standing up on the footpegs and the front wheel washed out at about 20 mph and I'll fell staighjt down on my left side. I felt like I just got the wind knocked out of me but when I stood up and took a deep breath I could feel my ribs craking. I still don't know how I broke my rt. thumb and twisted my knee, but d**n it was sure hard to breathe.  To bad it had to happen on Father's Day. But I've got the greastest kids.
