Id like to start by thanking danger for allowing me to regester today...I bought a 86 k5 this past Sunday (I know parts are a little harder to find for the 86 but its well worth it for a k5).
A little about myself I began riding when I was 4 I got a 80 something moto 4 and rode it forever I got my first bike when I was about 12 a cr85 big wheel traded it for a rail job and that for a warrior traded it for a blaster and bought a blaster traded blasters for raptor 660 then traded that for crf450r and that for predator 500 then the pred for a 89 trx250r I still have and am rebuilding currently...I bought the k5 for 300 bucks and s&w 686 .357 revolver

tcoop474 wanted to join the site but with all the porn posters joining the site I had the registration turned off. He found me on everything2stroke and sent me a p.m. asking to join. In the short time I had the site open to join, 9 people registered. I have not
done an I.P. address search but 4 of them look like bogus e-mail addresses.
Good to see you made it to the site, Welcome.

Where there's a will there's a way!
Welcome T,
There's something special about owning one of the early year bikes, sounds corny. But all the guys who had them
always post when you run into a problem..
But the REALLY cool part is drag racing an $8000 brand new bike and blowing their doors err.. Wheels off!
Glad to have you with us, and a little patience and some ingenuity, will keep the old girl up and running.
Thanks again Danger for taking time out of your day to help keep the doors open for all of us!

yea i like it so far it a little ugly but she has potential...i need a kick start lever, new plastics, radiators are dented pretty bad on each side so i need to replace those, and some foot pegs.
i have to pull start it right now cause for some reason theres not a kick lever on the motor, i checked the splines and they are fine so once i get a lever ill b good to go.
The plus side is i have a brand new motor the guy had it rebuilt from bottom to top by a shop in town and i know the guys there well so i know it was built right.
Since the rebuild the guy said he was running klotz bean oil 40:1 premix with premium gas that sound like a good mix to yall?
