Bike got here this afternoon. was a crazy day at work. Finally got it assembled and fired it up. Its idle has an evil hiss :) My heart was racing just sitting on it in the driveway. Gunna take it to an ATV park to break it in tommorrow, then to the local track saturday. Finally find out the real deal with these bikes. Keep you guys posted on the characteristics of the bike. When I was doing research on them I could only find one or two ride reports and they were from 07,08, and 09. I know AJ and service have worked alot out scince then. I can already tell the new 250 chasis gives the kickstarter and number plate alot of clearance. overall the attention to detail looks fantastic. clearances are tight but nothing so tight I have to worry about wear. Starts Very easily and actually idles! See Ya

Looks like she was meant to be there! Hey.. Wait a minute...
Are you sure your not just posting pics of the Showroom at S.H.!?
Congrats on your new bike, and Don't forget to take some jets with you!
I know the the cost of a bike like that ought to come with direct injection... but the guys can only make a best guess at the shop, and usually will ship the bike out "fat" for safety!

Mine came jetted very rich! It had a 175 main and a 58 pilot and a friggin #6 slide which was the main problem which for my elevation was way to rich. They told me they jet the bikes very conservatively.
I used the "Team Green" jetting chart which uses a 168 main, 55 pilot, #7 slide and an N82M needle in the middle. After the jetting changes she ran sweet!
Also if you want to get rid of that cotter pin on the axle nut a CRF450 axle nut fit mine.
Nice machine and good luck on that thing!

Thanks Pegger, I'll keep a couple jets. Wonder if they use the same carb as my 2004 500. Haven't even checked yet. cant tell how its jetted yet cause i havent really rode it hard. Trying to take it easy for a little bit, hard as it is. I juiced it a bit in third gear and it is amazing. I can state this as fact. My YZ 450F does not hit like that!! Thanks guys
