Hello,
I've already seen and read the excellent post about inspecting the timing and tolerance of the governor, but had some additional questions regarding the KIPS:
- Which items need to be cleaned, such as the valve portion itself as opposed to the governor side. And, what are the details when removing and assembling these parts.
- We lost the set screw for the governor timing shaft. I lifted the boot up, and it is only off by a small amount (about the width of the index hole. Can I simply rotate it back and install a new washer and screw?
Thanks in advance, as I appreciate the time it takes to respond and share your experience.
