Title: front cave man forks

Anyone know if the front forks on a 89 kx5 are damping rod type or cartridge type?
 
Is one of these types clearly better than the other?

nate,
USD-fork(upsidedown) in Sweden anyway.
Got two of this forks in garage.
Silver anodi..... something!
1990 they got gold anodi....!
Better from 1990 and on if u ask me. :wink:

89 KX's forks are considered to be some of the best production forks made.
