Title: Kick Boss

The Kick Boss broke on the 1986 KX500
does anyone know if other years can be massaged to fit?
anyone have one they want to part with...
The pics are just to check with the Masters... Is this an 86 kicker and boss?  I just wonder if someone changed it in the past.

I've seen that '85 / '86 KX500 are the same

I replaced the one on my 86 k500 with the newest available from cheapcycle parts and it fit perfectly and is much stronger than the early models.

Looks the same as the one off my 87..... which I have run on my late model KX (88-04). in a pinch....

worked fine

Look for a late modle kicker.. bet it works.


If you just want to fix that one...

I think I have the part you broke, on one of my broken (alum part) kickers..

But looking at your alum section... its not in the greatest shape.......

yeah the splines are same as late models, you could just use whole kicker from newer 500. the arm is pretty close in shape to not matter on your 86, but i bet if you look you will find an 86 kicker. it seems everytime i look for anything old kx related, it is always 86 stuff out there.

I too was looking for this part. #13061-1139. Discontinued. In fact...they're discontinued up to the '89 model year. From there on...still available.
