Title: New Member of KX Familiy - New Mexico
Post by: Atomic on March 26, 2011, 02:54:50 PM
Just joined to learn from the wealth of knowledge in this forum.

Ridden motos for nearly 32 years.  Currently have three bikes: KX250, KDX220, and an XR650R.

I like to ride the high desert and mountains of the southwest US (mainly north NM and Colorado).

Here's my "new" '03 KX250:

Thanks for the welcome.  I have other goodies installed like a 13oz FWW, FMF expansion chamber and silencer, skid plate, lighting stator, lights...it's a plated KX...so is my KDX.  Now looking at revalve and lighter springs, as well as jetting and gearing. :-o

Friar-Tuck...I like that name.  :-D

Most of my Kawi knowledge has been in pimping my KDX ride , like head and carb mods, KX forks, etc...The KX250 is new to me.  I think the KDX I will keep as a back up.  It is a fun little bike.  The KX will be my main ride and I am converting it to a trail riding bike...finding out that it isn't cheap to do this.  I hope I like the result.
