Stock is fine but I think more is better

So much will depend on your engine build and fuel used.
On a stock K5 engine you will gain 4 hp to the rear wheel by using the older style 44mm Lectron carb.
Alward25 and I built a Supermoto engine for a guy and we are using the new 44mm High Velocity Lectron.
Ill post our findings on it when they become available.
You can use the older 86-88 cylinders on the newer 89-04 cases but you really don't need to.
There is plenty of power to be had from the newer cylinders.

Would you recommend that carb for motocross? Im looking for "4 stroke" type power. Strong down low with a solid mid range and decent top.

No way.
Get a 38mm quad vent Airstriker.
More power, smoother acceleration, better all the way around for MX..
