coming to the point where i am going to put the transmission in i am using parts from 3 sets of gears. so the same transmission is not going back in. the kawasaki parts diagram only shows 1 washer. i know there were more that came out. anyone know anything about this or a good place to start

NO NO. Read the description on the video!!! Those shims are due to overdrive 5th gear. Stock trans won't have those....
Now your not confusing all the clutch basket shims for tranny shims? There is only the one inside the cases....

Yep you got it..
here is a still pic of the trans if it would help (yes that overdrive 5th is in there, and will look differant than your 5th gears.. (shims are in my trans only. not stock)....)...
Its layed out as if you dumped every gear off the end of the shaft (so UP, on the shaft is down on the table)
