Hello
First: Sorry for my english. :|
I've got a kx 500 that I'm rebuilding. But when I disasembled the engine, it was so difficult to leave the crankshaft out of the cases. I finally leave it with press and heat. Now, I think the rod side play is to large (0.85mm) and I don't have the same width when I measure the masses near the rod (56,04mm) and at the opposed (56,44mm). The problem is I haven't got any specification, I don't know how the genuine play and measures are.
I hope you understand what I meant and you could help me.
Thanks :-D

sorry, I forgot. It's a 1993 kx 500

Side clearance is listed as .45mm-.50mm.

Thanks a lot for your answer but sorry, I'm afraid to don't understand what you said.
When you speak about "side clearance", are you talking about the rod side clearance? And are ".45mm - .50mm" for 0.45mm and 0.50mm?
Thank you.

yes. The clearance between the rod and the crank half at the big end bearing. You should have no up and down movement on the connecting rod.
If you have any doubt, go ahead and have the crank rebuilt.
