There is an air cooled conversion we have been doing. We have a billet finned cylinder with a ceramic coating that works great . the head is built on to the cylinder so you don't have to worrie about squish or cylinder head cc or nuthin  then you don't need radiators and you can use that space for a six pak of beer. You just mount you one of those little ice chest up there and stock it with your favorite beverage.we are also working on a real bitchin motor mount elimonator kit that will allow you to put any engine in any frame with zero mods.

I can't believe you forgot about the flux capacitor.

You might let us know what year and size of frame you are using.
I'm starting a project and using 07 kx250f frame.
I'm using 07 kx450f radiators.

Well im using a 2006 KX250f frame. I was thinking honda radiators but i was also thinking about having a set of 250f radiators shortend. Just looking to see what my options are.

My "08" 450F chassis uses the stock radiators. The left radiator has had the lower tank modified as in about half of it removed and welded back flush. The hose connection was relocated outboard and re-indexed. It's still a tight fit and after the mounting grommets have worn I'm down to about 1/4" clearance. Nothing is hitting or rubbing yet but I keep an eye on it! Will be replacing the grommets soon.

May be a nice piece of hose over the top of the hose with a close fit would fix you up nicely.
You could attach it with some RTV Silicone so nobody would even notice :-)

I was thinkin about just having the tank shortened on a set of radiators but wasnt sure if it would be easier to use something defferent

CR250 2002 onwards will work a treat. Use the top mounting point, and then have the lower lugs extended.

I use the 500 radiators and modify the mounting brackets and make a bracket for the radiator to shroud fit, If I didn't tell you they were 500 radiators you'd think they were off a 450. on the 99-02 250 conversion the 250 radiators work well.

im building a 07 kxf250 frame with kx500 motor.i,m going to use filler side radiator both sides with frame side corner cut off.just need to cut off and blank off filler.

I am doing a 2008 KX450f to 500 I got a YZ 85 radiator and it works great the only mod you have to do is cut off the back mount on the radiator. IT does come with a filler cap on it so you could if you wanted to you could cut it off and just blank it off. The water necks line up perfect and work great.
