Title: One of our local bike salvage yards is going out of business...
Post by: sandblaster on December 23, 2010, 11:34:58 AM
After over 20 years in business Harrisburg Bike Salvage is closing up.
The last time I was there was about 8 years ago.
I had to dig through the blackberry bushes to get to what I wanted to buy.
I had to remove the parts myself.
Some of the parts we needed were damaged or missing from previous customers and I got charged top dollar.
But, what was I going to do? Not go riding?
He has some stuff for sale.
Here is some pics for you to enjoy...
1. I know some IT guy is crying right now....

MAN would I love to spend a weekend going through that!!! That first pic of the IT was pretty sad... Grew up riding a 79 IT400 and loved it...

From what I remember it's about 5 acres of what is in the pics.
In all fairness I have not been there in a while.
However, one of my affiliates was there this morning and got those choice pics.
I knew some IT guy would be heart broke

He is trying to sell them.
I will contact him about 2 weeks before he has to have it all cleaned out and see if there is anything worth picking up.
