ok the bike is an 89 kx250. was about to put it away for the winter so i start it up , it runs great idles nothing strange but when you turn the handle bars slightly to the right it cuts right out as if the kill switch was hit and no matter the amount of throttle you give it you turn the bars right it shuts off. and if you quickley turn all the way to the right it still idles but if you move it back to center it cuts off then idles when the bars are centered. it also runs fine with the steering to the left.
think of it as a clock from 10-2
if you turn the bars to 1oclock it stalls , move it quickly to 2 oclock its fine. it only happens at 1 o clock

Disconnect the kill switch and try again. It sounds like something is grounding out.

wiring loom fault , crushing wire when you turn bars?? open circuit in loom somewhere ?
have you just pressure washed it , water in kill switch?
throttle cable routing , prob unlikely but worth checking
loose conection in unions?
hope this helps !!
