Since the KX 500 MZB with lighting system is done, what make of 250 2 smoke should have this system? I was thinking of newer YZ or KX. I am going to buy one or both of them for a woods project. Just wanted to know what you guys thought.

Although I have KX250s you would be better served from a business perspective to go with the YZ as they are still sold here in the states and the motors are basically the same from 1999 on up giving a very large base of potential users.

Eline already has one for the YZ. Nobody made one for the 05-07 KX. Ive been running my lights off of the powerjet coil on our 07 KX250. This is mainly to pass tech inspection at enduros. Ive used the Eline on a 01 and 02 YZ250 w/o the issues that people ran into with the KX500 coil. Also run one on a 03 KX250 w/o problems. Do a 05 up KX please.

seeing as to how the flywheel isn't keyed this system should work on most KX 250s just adjust your timing unless the built in advance is different.
I am still running 6 Tecate four wheelers in the dunes and I think I can make this system work on them. the first of the year I will get one then try it.

Verifying the flywheel taper would be very crucial. but if that is the same I would think it would work. I would have to check. Can you use a 500 flywheel on a tecate? If the hub is the same then the MZB should work as it sits.

Most of the KXs use the same taper I have run a kx 125 KX 250 and KX500s on my Tecates the late model 500s are the same size flywheels as the T4s so this system should work real nice the only difference is in the timing so you cant use the key.
the stator plate will have to be modified to clear the counter balancer on the T4s.
All that is available for the Tecates is the Rickey stator which isn't as good as oem and it was a marginal system. and then the PVL which had the real small flywheel and no provision for lights so this should make a great upgrade for them only problem is most tecate owners are skinflints.

That would be cool... a fix all system. How much do you think you might have to modify the stator? Check out the MZB forum, I have a lot of pics there. If you want more let me know.
