Title: Sloppy Rear Brake pedal
Post by: Rd on November 21, 2010, 09:57:43 AM
Does anybody have a tip for taking up the clearance on a wornout rear brake pedal pivot?

I made a homemade brake lever saver out of a pc of clutch cable from a quad.
one end  thru the lever and the other end to my skid plate. once you get the slack adjusted right it keeps the brake lever from slopping around on the worn out pivot.
I know eventualy I will have to weld a new pivot on but this has been working for a couple of years now.
I'll get back shortly with a pic.

Cut the post off of the frame, grind the area flat, drill and tap it, use a high quality shoulder bolt . Works great .
