Title: Kipps time again !!!
Post by: Packman on November 17, 2010, 04:00:21 AM
Right ive asked this many a time , 88 kx 250  ive set the kipps valves in the shut position with the head off the barrell , now when i installed the head the arm that comes out the side of the side casing was in a differant positon slightly so when i connected the rod to the arm the valves had opened to half way  :x  does
anyone know the amount in mm that the rod has to be protruding out with the kipps valves shut so when the head is installed onto the barrel and the rod is connected
to the arm the kipps valves are still shut  :? :? :?

Hope this makes sence  :-D

dont know the length but the easiest way i know is too pull your exhaust pipe off but leave every thing assembled so you can look in and see the position of the valve, then loosen the nut that holds that arm in place this should allow the rod to rest against its stop which if you modified it right the valve should be shut. hope that made sense
