Post by: FastKX500 on April 25, 2004, 08:47:43 AM
Well i just put my new plastic and graphics on my bike today, I have all black plastic with the factory effex seat cover and graphics. The seat cover was a bitch to stretch, I got it as lined up as i could, looks pretty good. I also have to install my KX 250 rear fender from UFO, that should be fun...and im waiting for my front #plate to come in then ill post pics.

Two good sources for shroud decals.

www.graphicmx.com
www.xgxracing.com

XGX is much better.  Graphics are awesome and decals are great.  Extra thick option is a must !!

The tank,Exhaust and 250 shrouds are sold as the ZIPTY KIT (http://www.qualitysmart.com/products/zipty/zipty_info_order.htm#pipes)

Stock with a sparky is supposed to be best.

Dunno mate, mine had a badly made (in a shed by an idiot) "silencer" fitted when I got the bike.

I chucked that in the bin and fitted a Pro Circuit one which was quieter, looked nicer and weighed about half as much :)

Does anyone know what plastic frame guards fit the K5.  I have seen lots on bikes but can't find 'em. Do the KDX ones fit?? I need some cool green ones. Cam.

Hey cam,
The frame is the same almost to the "T" on the 89-94 kdx 200 so frame guards work, side panels, and as you can see in the gallery rear fender gives a different look too. And everyone wonders why kx500's are great woods bikes
