I ride a 99 KX 500. Any time my bike is at any kind of an angle I get a lot of fuel flowing from the vents on the carb. I have cleaned the carb and checked that the float is not sticking and its fine. I am brand new to this so I don't really know what else to look for. Any suggestions? Thanks

Sounds like the float needle if worn. Get a new seat/needle.

How much of an angle are we talking? Will it leak when on the triangle stand?
Mine won't run over when on the stand, but it doesn't take much more angle than that. Are you sure there is anything wrong?

Get a new float valve from sudco and reset the float level to 18mm.

If I am sitting on the bike and I lean over to adjust my boots that is enough angle to make it leak. I will have to look at the carb more thoroughly.

Could just be the float level, if it only leaks when leaning over. The tab between the floats can be adjusted to shut the flow off sooner. You don't want to over tweek it, but if you look at where the floats rest, then bend the tab to pick them up just a little bit, that should do the trick. Too much correction will give the bike a bog on a long run especially up hill. Our floats are set real high to be sure there's no fuel shortage on the hill, and sometimes they will leak, if they lean too far over on a stand. When it pours out and won't stop no matter what angle you're at, then i would start investigating for debris or worn parts.
