Fot the life of me I don't know why no one has made a billet one yet.

yeah their pretty close, the last one i had to buy was $90 i only got $8 and about 30 minutes in this one...lol but when i do my permanent one i'm going to take my time and make it out of stainless so it looks nice and hopefully last forever..lol

Sounds cool man. Take a pic for us to see

I hope it works ok. My experience is that any attempt using non cast fabrication for the kick it will twist slowly over time.

Great thinking, but pray to god the weld at the base of the lever does not fail while kicking..... OUCH ! :-o

i think it would bent before the weld would brake.

brian what would the demand be for a billet kicker.

I think it would be pretty good demand. Kx500s are prone to braking the kicker. Also it would look cool, you could also make it 1/2' to 3/4' longer for more leverage.

I want one.... I would also be very interested in a billit two piece clutch cover....
-
to do a nice clutch cover i think it will cost more then most people are willing to spend.

I broke two and then made a steel one. Is that cold roll steel ? i used a Honda XR500
kick starter i think there forged well if it bends try try again
good luck JM

Pretty much same thought on a kick lever. Pro Tec makes a billet kick lever for my YZ450F that is actuall shorter that stock to allow easier kicking, but they are just more "wallet bait" that most people don't need IMO...
