Anyone have the torque spec for the Pinch bolts on the triple clamps... 08 kx450
Also front brake caliper
-
The motorcycle alldata says 18 ft pounds on the break caliper. The tripple clamp bolts should be 14.5 for the top clamp and 14 for the bottom clamp.

Thank you Sir

Anyone have the spec for the front axle? I have read 58. and 75... 75 seems too much...

I have the shop manual for my 08' 450F- 500AF bike. I'll look it up for you at lunch time.

front axle spec is 58 ft lbs, or 79 newton meters, that is assuming your talking about the axle nut if your talking the axle pinch bolts those are 15 ft lbs.

There is a procedure to tighten the front axel.
Insert the axle from right side.
Tighten the right axle clamp bolts temporally.
Tighten the axle nut. Like Don says 58ft.lb.
Tighten the left axle clamp bolts. 15 ft.lb./180 in.lb.
Tighten the 2 clamp bolts alternately 2 times to ensure even tightening torque.
Remove jack and set the wheel down.
Loosen right axle clamp bolts.
Before tightening the right clamp bolts on the right fork
leg, pump the forks up and down 4 or 5 times to allow
the right forks leg to find a neutral position on the front axle.
Do not apply the front brake during this process to stop
the motorcycle from rolling forward. Put a block in
front of the wheel to stop it from moving.
Tighten the right axle clamp bolts. 15 ft.lb.
Again, Tighten the 2 clamp bolts alternately 2 times to ensure even tightening torque.
Check the front brake for good braking power and no brake drag.
