Title: Weight bias

Okay... for you guys with KX500's and Kx450F's....   and happen to have 2 bathroom scales....

I NEED YOUR HELP... as I dont have access to a KX450... and my 500 is in pieces..

I need to know the weight bias of the two bikes in order to get my suspension set right...

easy to do..

put one scale under front tire, nother under rear... record weights.... post on here. along with year, how much fuel is in bike etc that would affect those numbers..... make me happy...

In reality doing it with one scale, one end at a time will get me close enough....

Okay.. Just found a Dirt Rider article that states
2010 Kx450F
250Lbs wet
50/50 bias
125front, 125 rear


Now just need someone to put their 500 on a bathroom scale...

The two bikes show Identical weights when Dry....

I've put htat "Ohlins" K5 on the scale, and with gas up to the radiatorgard bolt:( 1/3 or so?)

It weights in front 54kg and rear 56kg. Thats front 118.8 lbs, rear 123.2 lbs.

man youse are all tripping..?.take 1 set of scales out in the driveway,start your old girl up,and in 1st gear do a full mono,jump off and with the bike still running pull the clutch lever in and slowly let it out as your holding it up still and work your way in a full vertical position to the scales,small ramp (piece of wood or something)drive up on the scales kick the piece of wood away with 1 of your feet,then weigh it..dont forget if you have digital scales to 1st tap the scales to reset them..before you do all of the above..eeaaassssy peeaaassy..man i dont know what youse guys would do without me..?.

That bike should be very close in weight to where mine will end up (Kx450) front end swap...
