Title: kx 500 1983 con rod??

Hi, does anyone know where i can get a con rod for a 1983 kx 500? iv tried kawasaki n they cant seem to help.
  if i cant locate 1 im thinking of putting a cr500 conrod in;
     will they fit?
     who can tell me about this.

I look up parts here but they only go back to 1984.  I did a google search but didn't find much more than a cool picture.

  Wiseco will make a custom rod(s)  but I'm afraid the hunt is afoot!  I found a crank assy. on e-bay but it's gonna take some footwork to track down a NOS rod.. 
  Here's the part # 13044-5025  (the'83 &'84 are the same)

this i site i use alot. if the 84 is the same as the 83 then this is it. it also says the the part number on the conrod has been superseded. which means that the conrod from later models will fit. take a look hope it helps. btw its a european site i think but the post world wide

Thanks for that website. its a pity the con rod kit isnt available!! ah well iv put it on my wish list. theres plenty of other parts on there i need though.

the con rod is 145mm centre to centre. what do u have in mind?
   does anyone no if a 1985 con rod would fit as i can get 1 of them easily
