Title: kx forks
Post by: ZAR on August 03, 2010, 02:46:40 PM
i have 3  kx 500s 88,89,91 i am going to put one together and sell the rest in parts. my question is which forks are better the 89 coventional or the 91 inverted. i mostly ride enduros and harescrambles on the eastcoast. alot of people tell me the 89 forks were the best they made. let me know what you think?

East guys like the flex of a conventional fork. It's pretty rough over here, and
those old forks do a great job of smoothing out the terrain.
Had an 87 K5 with a front end that loved the woods. Ive learned to love
the inverted setup. There is a wider range of adjustment to smooth out the extra rigidity
and they can take huge hits when properly sprung to your weight.
