Title: 44mm mikuni??

has anybody tried boring the 44mm mikuni vm out or know anyone who will do it?

Fowler,
Have you measured the diameter of that beer can of a slide? You should be able to bore the carb to just under that size as long as the intake has enough metal. I have a couple of the PWKs & they were cast with the centerline of the bore off centered & appears that the slots for the slide are the same, check your VM to see if it's centered to see if it would cause any problem.

It depends on what you what the carb to do. You can cut it out to 48mm or 49mm with a custom slide. I would leave it at 44 at cut a 50 taper in it. The v-force cages get lazy on airflow after 46mm.

just trying to find a way to go faster. . . alot of these fast a,, banshees running 48mm 50mm carbs figured if i wanted to go faster i would need bigger carb

asked the same question about my 40 vm a while back but no closer to finding out how far they'll go.I reckon they'll do 44mm.I have always found it to be a good carb overall, but I havent tried the pwk.
