factory specs calls for 10w-40 SAE oil which is auto oil / Anybody using basic fork oil and if so what weight? Thanks.
-
The KX65 manual I have calls for SHOWA SS-8 or equivalent.

Something you may also consider is rider weight with gear and how hard he rides. I'll try to post those teem green
Charts a bit later.

I printed off the pdf file from kawasaki web site for general specs and it list 10w-20, Is showa ss-8 just 8weight fork oil?

Here's an oil test chart and Redline cross reference
chart http://www.spectro-oils.com/pdfs/techsheets/Shock_Fluids_Comparison_Suspension_Oils_Chart.pdf
http://www.hrpworld.com/client_images/ecommerce/client_39/products/pdf_3119_1.pdf
So yes it appears to be 10 wt suspension fluid
