Title: Jetting help for specific altitude
Post by: 99tjrockcrawler on March 23, 2004, 01:57:14 PM
Going to coral pink utah sand dunes for easter(never been there) and I know I will have to re-jet for the trip.  Can someone give me an idea of what to go buy so I can at least get close.  I normaly ride at 1-2k feet and coral pink is 5-6k.  Is there an estimated forumla like for every 1000 feet go down 2 or 5 jet sizes???  If someone could get me close so I have the right ones out there.  I have never had to re-jet before....

Also is jetting all I will need to do just for one weekend ride?  I won't have to mess with clip settings and all that will I???

When jetting, don't forget that air screw.  Since it's on the outside, a lot of folks just set it at stock and forget it.  Wrong...  Fine tuning the air screw can mean the difference between spot on and not quite done.

Enjoy your trip.
