Title: New KX500 owner
Post by: Coyote13 on June 12, 2010, 11:49:09 AM
Hello,

Love the forum, just picked up this 95 500 a couple of days ago, seems to be in good shape. Has new wheels, hubs, tires and spokes along with bearings. New swing arm bearings and rebuilt forks along with pc works pipe and bark busters. New clutch and fairly recent top end along with fly wheel weight. The previous owner ran sonoco 110 with maxima 927 at 40:1 which I will continue. Looking forward to  continued discussions.

Regards

Welcome to the forum and good job posting some pictures.
Where do you ride, and what type of riding do you do?

Thank you for the warm welcome.....I live in the NorthWest and so the riding around here is forest trail; however, I prefer more open country riding, ie...desert at higher speed.  If I travel 1.5-2 hrs I can get that in as well fortunately. How about you guys, what type of riding do you prefer?

Regards

Gorgeous Bike! Welcome to the site.

I myself like more open country. The faster the better :-) I also like anywhere that has hills for me to catch big air on. I like to go fast and not be on the ground. Guess I should get my pilots license lol.

Very nice bike you have there! I was gonna do black Excel wheels on mine since I love the way they look with the green. But I opted for a Revloc instead. Goodluck you should be proud!
