Title: KX500 clutch interchange?

i have a 86 kx500 and was wondering are all the later k500's clutches the same?sorry for all the questions,hoping some kx expert out there will know,cheers

No. Based on the '87 and '94 transmissions that I have, the basket splines changed at some point. The '87 has a coarse spline, and the '94 has a fine spline. Other than the basket, I have no idea what other difference there are.

thanks for the reply,the basket is all good just wondering are the steels and the fibre plates the same thats all,cheers

all good now spent today putting the clutch out of my 88 KX250(it was new) in my K5,now i know early KX250 are the same clutch,
