what tool do you lot use to check cylinder to cases torque,as you aint gettin a torque wrench anywhere close....

You can use a torque wrench to tighten the cylinder if you have a crows foot. Since the use of the crows foot will lengthen the distance through which the force is applied, the resulting torque will be a little off from the value you set the torque wrench to. This is fine since the most important factor is making sure each bolt is the same torque, even if it's a little greater than the factory recommended specification.

You can use a crows foot or torque adaptor. As long as the tool is 90 degrees to the torque wrench the torque will measure the same. If the crows foot or torque adaptor is pointed like straight ahead that will change who much the end torque will be. There is a formula to compensate for this, but it is easier to keep it at 90 degrees. If this is totaly confusing I could add some pics.

i get what your saying, but i dont think ive ever seen a crows foot so a pic of one of them would be handy.i might have seen one, just never heard it called that. thanx, K.

I like the motion pro tool best bc of the closed end, I've never seen a " closed end" crowsfoot ever. But I just had my elbow calibrated to +/- 2lbs. :-D
