Post by: maddoggy on March 09, 2010, 05:04:16 AM
anyone here running the michelin s-12 140/80-18 tire on their k5? they look like the tread design is real good but i don't know if it performs as good as it looks. thanks in advance for your input.

Maddoggy,

I run the S12's on my KX250 & very happy with the hookup on soft to intermediate terrain with good life.

gidday i been through 3 s12 michelins on my k5 and have found the wear out a bit quick mine was a 130 80 19 and a tyre guy in nz said there tyres sizes are incorrect but they do hook up good for the first couple of rides then round off quick i have gone to a 120 90 19 mitas now and have done 4 rides and it still sharp on the knobs and it looks wider than the 130 and it hooks up mean

I really like the m12's myself for the varied terrain we ride around here, seem to wear pretty good
